1. (impersonal use following an infinitive) must not, should not

   మీరు ఈ పని చేయ కూడదు. ― mīru ī pani cēya kūḍadu. ― You must not do this work.

2. (subject) is/are not fitting or proper

   ఇలాంటివి కూడదని రచయితను మెత్తగా మన్దలించేరు.

   ilāṇṭivi kūḍadani racayitanu mettagā mandaliñcēru.

   They gently rebuked the author, saying that such things were not proper.
