Cognate with Kannada ಸುಡು (suḍu), Tulu ಚುಡ್ (cuḍŭ), Malayalam ചുടുക (cuṭuka), Telugu చూడు (cūḍu), Kodava [script needed] (cuḍu), Kolami [script needed] (suḍu).
