[edit]Inherited from Old Gujarati वाहलउ (vāhalaü), from Prakrit 𑀯𑀮𑁆𑀮𑀪 (vallabha), from Sanskrit वल्लभ (vallabha). Cognate with Kumaoni बली (balī) and Sindhi ولهو (valaho).
