[edit]Inherited from Old Gujarati पाछइ (pāchaï), from Apabhramsa पच्छइ (pacchaï), from Prakrit 𑀧𑀘𑁆𑀙𑀸𑀤𑁄 (pacchādo), from Sanskrit पश्चा (paścā).[1] Cognate with Hindustani پیچھے / पीछे (pīche) and Sinhalese පසු (pasu).
