[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀘𑁄𑀓𑁆𑀔 (cokkha), perhaps borrowed from Dravidian (compare Tamil சொகுசு (cokucu, “luxury”)).[1][2] Doublet of ચોખ (cokh, “clean”). Cognate with Kachchi ચૌખા (caukhā) and Sindhi چوکو / चोखो (cokho)
