[edit]Inherited from Old Gujarati कसुंभउ (kasuṃbhaü), from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀓𑀼𑀲𑀼𑀁𑀪 (kusuṃbha), from Sanskrit कुसुम्भ (kusúmbha, “safflower”). Cognate with Assamese কুহুম (kuhum) and Hindustani کُسُم / कुसुम (kusum).
