From Paisaci Prakrit [Term?] (compare Maharastri Prakrit 𑀤𑀲𑀫 (dasama)), from Sanskrit दशम (daśamá). Compare Old Hindi दसवै (dasavai), दसवैं (dasava͠i), Old Marathi 𑘟𑘭𑘪 (dasava), 𑘟𑘰𑘮𑘰𑘪 (dāhāva).
