Etymology

Inherited from Prakrit 𑀓𑁂𑀲𑀭𑀺 (kesari), from Sanskrit केसरिन् (kesarin). Cognate with Gujarati કેસરી (kesrī) and Sindhi ڪيهَرِ (kehari).
