- ਬਿੰਦੀ (bindī), one of two Gurmukhi diacritics for nasalization of vowels and marking nasal codas.
Usage notes
[edit]ਬਿੰਦੀ (bindī) is used on long vowels and independent ਉ (u), while ੰ ਟਿੱਪੀ (ṭippī) is used on short vowels and dependent ੂ (ū), the possible combinations with vowels are shown below:
- ਆਂ (ā̃), ਈਂ (ī̃), ਏਂ (ē̃), ਐਂ (aĩ), ਓਂ (õ), ਔਂ (aũ), ਉਂ (ũ), ਊਂ (ū̃)
