[edit]Inherited from Middle Assamese মেঠোন (methün), মেঠন (methon), from Early Assamese মেঠন (meṭhono), perhaps borrowed from an Austroasiatic language, closely related to Khasi. Cognate with Khasi mythen, mythùn.
