Borrowed from Classical Persian گُلشَن (gulšan). Cognate with Assamese গুলছন (guloson), Hindi गुलशन (gulśan), Punjabi ਗੁਲਸ਼ਨ (gulśan), Marathi गुलशन (gulśan), Nepali गुलशन (gulaśan).
