Etymology

Borrowed from Sanskrit কাকতালীয় (kākatālīẏa). By surface analysis, কাক (kak) +‎ -তালীয় (-taliẏo). Compare Assamese কাক-তালীয় (kak-talio), Odia କାକତାଳୀୟ (kākatāḷiya), Hindi काकतालीय (kāktālīya).
