Etymology
[edit]From Proto-Indo-Iranian *ȷ́ʰarmyám (“house, building”). Cognate with Avestan 𐬰𐬀𐬌𐬭𐬌𐬨𐬌𐬌𐬁𐬎𐬎𐬀𐬧𐬙 (zairimiiāuuaṇt, “with a permanent house”).
