[edit]Inherited from Prakrit 𑀫𑀼𑀤 (muda) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit मृत (mṛtá). Doublet of मुरदा (murdā) and मृत (mŕt). Compare Gujarati મૂઉં (mūũ), Kachchi મુઓ (muo), Marathi मेले (mele).
