[edit]Inherited from Prakrit 𑀪𑀝𑁆𑀞 (bhaṭṭha) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-) without cluster simplification, from Sanskrit भ्रष्ट्र (bhraṣṭra). Cognate with Punjabi ਭੱਠ (bhaṭṭha).
