[edit]From Sauraseni Prakrit *𑀧𑀳𑀼𑀁𑀘 (*pahuṃca, “wrist, forearm”), with further origin unknown. Cognate with Punjabi ਪਹੁੰਚਾ (pahuñcā), Nepali पौंजा (pauñjā).
