Etymology

Borrowed from Classical Persian ناراض (nā-rāz), from ناـ (nā-) + Arabic رَاضٍ (rāḍin). By surface analysis, ना- (nā-) +‎ राज़ी (rāzī). Compare Bengali নারাজ (naraj).
