[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi नागर (nāgara), Maharastri Prakrit 𑀡𑀁𑀕𑀭 (ṇaṃgara), Sanskrit लाङ्गल (lāṅgala) or directly borrowed from Dravidian. Compare with Hindi नांगल (nāṅgal), Ollari నాంగల్ (nāṅgal).
