Etymology

With डोला f (ḍolā), and the prefixed forms आन्दोल (āndola, swinging), अन्दोलयति (andoláyati, swings), हिन्दोल (hindola), and their related words, probably borrowed from Munda.[1] The root दुल् (dul, to swing) and derived forms are based upon this word.
