Etymology
[edit]With डोला f (ḍolā), and the prefixed forms आन्दोल (āndola, “swinging”), अन्दोलयति (andoláyati, “swings”), हिन्दोल (hindola), and their related words, probably borrowed from Munda.[1] The root दुल् (dul, “to swing”) and derived forms are based upon this word.
