[edit]Borrowed from Classical Persian داخل (dāxil), from Arabic دَاخِل (dāḵil). Compare Gujarati દાખલ (dākhal), Kannada ದಾಖಲು (dākhalu), Hindustani دَاخِل (dāxil) / दाख़िल (dāxil), Punjabi ਦਾਖ਼ਲ (dāxal) / داخل (dāxl), Bengali দাখিল (dakhil).
