[edit]Inherited from Prakrit 𑀢𑀺𑀲𑀸 (tisā), from Sanskrit तृषा (tṛṣā), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *tr̥šaH, from Proto-Indo-European *tr̥s-eh₂. Doublet of तृषा (tŕṣā), a tatsama, and तरस (taras), a semi-tatsama.
