[edit]Inherited from Prakrit 𑀘𑀉𑀓𑁆𑀓𑀡𑁆𑀡 (caükkaṇṇa) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-), from Sanskrit चतुष्कर्ण (catuṣkarṇa, “four-eared; having four ears”).[1][2][3]
