[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi 𑘓𑘱𑘨𑘜𑘹 (ciraṇe), 𑘓𑘲𑘨𑘜𑘹 (cīraṇe), 𑘭𑘱𑘨𑘜𑘹 (siraṇe). Compare Gujarati ચીરવું (cīrvũ), Hindi चीरना (cīrnā), Nepali चिरनु (ciranu), Sinhalese ඉරනවා (iranawā).
