[edit]Inherited from Sanskrit गलति (galati). Cognate with Hindustani گلنا / गलना (galnā), Marathi गळणे (gaḷṇe), Gujarati ગળવું (gaḷvũ), Assamese গলা (gola), Sindhi ڳَرَڻُ / ॻरणु, Odia ଗଳିବା (gaḷibā), Sinhalese ගලනවා (galanawā), Konkani गळ्चे (gaḷce).
