[edit]In classical Sanskrit the stem उधन् (udhan) appears only in the feminine of an adjective compound, while the original heteroclitic r/n paradigm has been preserved in Vedic; compare nominative and genitive singular ऊधर् (ū́dhar) ~ ऊधन् (ū́dhnas).
