Etymology 1

Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀆𑀮𑀲𑁆𑀲 (ālassa), from Sanskrit आलस्य (ā́lasya). Cognate with Assamese এলাহ (elah) and Marathi आळस (āḷas). Doublet of आलस्य (ālasya).
