Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Old Marathi आरिसा (ārisā), from Maharastri Prakrit 𑀆𑀤𑀭𑀺𑀲 (ādarisa), from *𑀆𑀤𑀭𑀺𑀰 (*ādariśa) in an unknown Middle Indo-Aryan language, from Sanskrit आदर्श (ādarśa, “mirror”). Cognate to Gujarati અરીસો (arīso), Konkani आरसो (ārsô).
