Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀅𑀕𑁆𑀖 (aggha), from Sanskrit अर्घ (argha), from Proto-Indo-Iranian *Hargʰas, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂elgʷʰos. Cognate with Persian ارزش (arzeš). Doublet of अर्घ (argh).
