Borrowed from Gujarati હથિયાર (hathiyār), from Old Gujarati हथीआर (hathīāra), ultimately from Prakrit 𑀳𑀢𑁆𑀣𑀺𑀬𑀸𑀭 (hatthiyāra).[1]
