[edit]From Aramaic שְרָגָא (šərāḡā), from Parthian *𐫢𐫡𐫀𐫄 (*šrʾɣ /širāɣ/); related to Persian چراغ (čerâğ), Old Armenian ճրագ (črag), and Arabic سِرَاج (sirāj).
