  1. percent (literally, “from inside the hundred”)
    ܚܲܡܫܝܼܢ ܓܵܘ ܡܐܵܐ ܝܠܹܗ ܦܲܠܓܵܐ، ܥܸܣܪܝܼܢ ܓܵܘ ܡܐܵܐ ܝܠܹܗ ܚܘܼܡܫܵܐ.
    ḥamšīn gāw mˀā ìlēh palgā, ˁisrīn gāw mˀā ìlēh ḥumšā.
    Fifty percent is a half, twenty percent is a fifth.
