     ܒܪܵܫܝܼܬ ܒܪܹܐ ܠܹܗ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܠܫܡܲܝܵܐ ܘܠܐܲܪܥܵܐ

     brāšīt brē lēh allāhā l-šmayyā w-l-arˁā

     In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

   • John 1:1-2:

     ܒܪܵܫܝܼܬ ܝܼܗ݇ܘܵܐ ܡܸܠܬܵܐ، ܘܗ̇ܘ ܡܸܠܬܵܐ ܝܗ݇ܘܵܐ ܠܟܸܣ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ، ܘܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܝܗ݇ܘܵܐ ܗ̇ܘ ܡܸܠܬܵܐ. ܐܵܗܵܐ ܝܗ݇ܘܵܐ ܒܪܵܫܝܼܬ ܠܟܸܣ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ.

     In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.

   • Hebrews 1:10:

     ܘܡܸܢ݇ܕܪܹܝܫ݇: ܐܲܢ݇ܬ، ܝܵܐ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ، ܡ̣ܢ ܒܪܵܫܝܼܬ ܫܘܼܬܐܸܣ ܠܘܼܟ݂ ܠܐܲܪܥܵܐ، ܘܫܡܲܝܹ̈ܐ ܦܘܼܠܚܵܢܵܐ ܕܐܝܼܕܵܬܘܼ̈ܟ݂ ܝܼܢܵܐ.

     w-midrēy: at, yā māryā, min brāšīt šūtˀis lūḵ l-arˁā, w-šmayyē pulḥānā d-īdātūḵ īnā.

     And again: “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
