هَرچه (harče)

  1. (with subjunctive) whatever
    • c. 1260s, Jalāl ad-Dīn Mohammad Rūmī, translated by Reynold A. Nicholson, مثنوی معنوی, volume V, verse 3410:
      هرچه آوردی تلف کردیش زن
      مرد مضطر بود اندر تن زدن
      harče âvardi talaf kardiš zan
      mard moztarr bud andar tan zadan.
      Whatever [food] he brought [home], his wife would consume it, and the man was forced to keep silence.
  2. (with indicative) everything
    هرچه دوست دارید بخورید. (more literary)
    harče dust dârid be-xorid.
