From نَخَرَ (naḵara) or from خَرَبَ (ḵaraba) or from both combined.

نَخْرَبَ (naḵraba) Iq (non-past يُنَخْرِبُ (yunaḵribu), verbal noun نَخْرَبَة (naḵraba))

  1. (transitive) to gnaw, to eat into, to consume
  2. (transitive) to subvert, to undermine, to blow up, to spoil
