Etymology

    Borrowed from Classical Persian مُهْلَت (muhlat), borrowed from Arabic مُهْلَة (muhla), from مَهَلَ (mahala).[1] First attested in c. 1649 as Middle Hindi مہلت (mhlt /⁠muhlat⁠/).[2]
