Arabic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From the root ك ن ب (k-n-b). Since this is not a well-known root, apparently a dissimilation of كِمَام (kimām) or كِنَان (kinān) or another formation of either roots, and other forms within the root are denominal from the designation of this plant-part.
