Compare the Iranian borrowings: Ancient Greek παρασάγγης (parasángēs), Latin parasanga, Old Armenian հրասախ (hrasax), Arabic فَرْسَخ (farsaḵ), Aramaic פַּרְסָה, פַּרְסָא (parsâ), Mishnaic Aramaic פָּרָשָׁה (pārāšâ), Classical Syriac ܦܪܣܚܐ (prsḥʾ /⁠parsḥā⁠/).
