[edit]Relative noun (nisba) composed of عَوَار (ʕawār, “defect”) + ـِيَّة (-iyya), from the root ع و ر (ʕ-w-r) related to lacunae.

- By the term average any partial loss is meant and this implies that any loss other than total loss is considered.
