عَسَى (ʕasā) I (non-past اِعْسِ (iʕsi), verbal noun ?)

  1. it is hoped [with non-past or أَن (ʔan, + subjunctive clause)]
    Synonyms: (rare) حَرَى (ḥarā), (rare) اِخْلَوْلَقَ (iḵlawlaqa)
    عَسَى ٱلْمُشْكِلَةُ تُحَلُّ.
    ʕasā l-muškilatu tuḥallu.

    عَسَى ٱلطَّالِبُ أَنْ يَنْجَحَ فِي ٱلاِمْتِحَانِ.

This is a defective verb. It has only perfect (past) tense and isn't usually conjugated, but it can be:
