Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *dïrŋïk (“rake”); cognate with Azerbaijani dırmıq, Bashkir тырма (tırma), Kazakh тырма (tyrma), Kyrgyz тырмоо (tırmoo), Southern Altai тырмууш (tïrmuuš), Turkmen dyrmyk, Uyghur تىرنا (tirna) and Uzbek tirma.

- claw, a curved, pointed nail on each digit of the foot of an animal, especially a cat
- rake, a garden tool with a row of pointed teeth, used for collecting debris, grass, etc.
