Possibly borrowed from Hindustani سچ / सच (sac, truth) or from Arabic صِدْق (ṣidq, truth, sincerity) via affrication of /q/ (compare e.g. فريج (firīj) and طريج (ṭirīj)) and assimilation of /d/.
