[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit *𑀲𑀯𑀸𑀁𑀕 (*savāṃga), from Sanskrit *समाङ्ग (samāṅga), from सम (samá) + अङ्ग (áṅga). Cognate with Marathi सोंग (soṅga), Gujarati સોંગ (soṅg), સ્વાંગ (svā̃g), Punjabi ਸਾਂਗ (sāṅg) / سانگ (sāng), ਸ੍ਵਾਂਗ (svāṅg), ਸਵਾਂਗ (savāṅg) / سوانگ (soāng), Odia ସୁଆଙ୍ଗ (suāṅga).
