Inherited from Prakrit 𑀲𑀁𑀛𑀸 (saṃjhā), from Sanskrit संध्या (saṁdhyā́, twilight). Cognate with Punjabi سَن٘جھ (saṉjh) and Urdu سَن٘جھ (sañjh).
