Etymology
[edit]From Middle Persian 𐭦𐭫𐭢𐭥𐭭 (zlgʿn /zargōn/) (Persian زرگون (zargun, literally “gold-colored”)), from Proto-Iranian *jr̥Hanyam (“gold”). Doublet of إِسْرِنْج (ʔisrinj).
