Borrowed from Aramaic חַבִיצָא / חָבִיצָא (ḥābiṣā, ḥabiṣā) / ܚܒܺܝܨܳܐ (ḥəbīṣā), same dish, from חָבַצ (ḥābaṣ) / ܚܒܰܨ (ḥbaṣ, to beat into a pulp, to press, to squeeze).
