جردحل
Appearance
Arabic
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Possibly applying the pattern فِعْلَلّ (fiʕlall) to the root ج د ل (j-d-l), with later augment (إِلْحَاق (ʔilḥāq)) of ح (ḥ) and ر (r) for dissimilation (إِدْغَام (ʔidḡām)), as it would otherwise be *جِدْلَلّ (*jidlall), that invites first *جِرْدَلّ (*jirdall) and then جِرْدَحْل (jirdaḥl).
