Adverb
[edit]جاودانه • (jâvedâne)
- eternally, forever
- c. 1011, Abu'l-Qāsim Firdawsī, “The reign of Zahhāk”, in شاهنامه [Book of Kings][1]:
na-mānad ba kas jawidāna na baxt
man-am pūr-i ān nēk-baxt ābtīn
ki bigirift zahhāk zi ērān zamīn
bikušt-aš ba zārī u man kīna jōy
nihādam sōy-i taxt-i zahhāk rōy - Firēdūn answered thus: "Neither the throne
Nor fortune will remain forever to anyone.
I am the son of that good-fortuned Ābtīn,
Who Zahhāk seized from the land of Iran
And killed in torment. In the pursuit of vengeance, I
Have set my face upon the throne of Zahhāk."
- čunīn dād pāsux firēdūn ki taxt
