    • a. 965 CE, Al-Mutanabbi, أَنَ فِي أُمَّةٍ [ʔana fī ʔummatin]:
      أَنَ فِي أُمَّةٍ تَدَارَكَهَا أَللّٰـ / ـهُ غَرِيبٌ كَصَالِحٍ فِي ثَمُودِ
      I am amongst a people, may God reach to seize them (lit. He overtook them), as much a stranger as Sālih had been in Thamūd.
