[edit]Inherited from Proto-Turkic *buka (“bull”); cognate with Old Turkic 𐰉𐰆𐰸𐰀 (b¹uq̊¹a /buqa/), Azerbaijani buğa, Bashkir Буға (Buğa), Kazakh бұқа (būqa), Kyrgyz бука (buka), Tatar бога (boğa), Turkmen buga, Uyghur بۇقا (buqa) and Uzbek buga.
