بطك
Appearance
Bulgar
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Used instead of بَلُو (belüv, “monument”) on only one occasion. Considering that this word violates phonological and phonotactic rules of the native Bulgar words, it is a loanword from a Kipchak or a Khwarezmian language, ultimately from Proto-Turkic *biti-g.
Cognate with Chuvash пӗтӳ (pĕt̬ü, “amulet”), Old Turkic 𐰋𐰃𐱅𐰏 (b²it²g, “inscription”).
